By the blessings of Lord Shiva

A Temple Rising in Marapaguntla

We are building a Shivalayam for our village and for every devotee who seeks peace at the feet of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathi, and Lord Ganesha. Help us complete this sacred work.

Welcome

A Sacred Home for Prayer & Tradition

In our village of Marapaguntla, a temple of carved stone is taking shape. When complete, the Shivalayam will house the divine idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathi, and Lord Ganesha — a place where everyone can pray, find peace, celebrate festivals, and pass our traditions on to the generations who follow.

Home of the Deeksha

Our Story

Carved in Stone, Built on Devotion

Every pillar and panel of this temple has been shaped by hand from dark granite — rows of deities, fine carvings, and rising towers in the timeless South Indian style. The sanctum stands; the grounds and final work remain.

This Shivalayam is being built as an offering — a service to God and a gift to our community that will outlast us all.

A Living Tradition

From Our Village to Srisailam

Twice each year, many devotees of our village take up the Shiva Mala. They observe the forty-day Deeksha with devotion and discipline, then carry the Irumudi on the holy pilgrimage to Srisailam, completing their vows before Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy.

Our dream is for this Shivalayam to become the spiritual heart of that journey — the place where devotees begin their Deeksha, gather in prayer, and receive the blessings of Lord Shiva before and after their pilgrimage.
